Pilates is a disciplined physical system which was created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.

Through a series of precise, controlled movements, it target all the muscle groups in the body whilst working on posture, control, strength, flexibility and alignment.

There are many different forms of Pilates, however, Romana’s Pilates Method ( Classical Pilates ) is considered the most purest form and the lineage can be traced back to Joseph Pilates.

We teach pilates the traditional method that Joseph developed that is now called Romana’s Pilates Method.

Romana’s teachers are required to go through a rigorous training program with a minimum of 600 hours of training/internship.

Romana’s teachers work to a sequence which moves the body through a full range of movement focusing on the entire body creating strength and control. Pilates involves using apparatus and resistance therefore it is more dynamic, focusing on movement rather than holding postures.

All movement should start from your core so you can gain better posture, balance, coordination.\ and alignment.

When practised on a regular basis it will also help with recovery and prevention of injuries thus making you feel better and have a healthier body.

Pilates is designed to reshape, tone & elongate your body using the different types of apparatus as well as your own body. Adding a healthy diet and regular exercises can enhance your overall appearance.
